Skis with soul
We are passionate, life long skiers who began making skis for ourselves and friends. What started as a fun way to stay connected to our skiing friends across the globe quickly grew into a project consuming our lives. Constantly improving and refining our designs, we took years to "get-it-right" before sharing our skis with you.
Skis that last
We make skis that we like to go skiing on. A ski which not only looks good but is solid, maintainable and most importantly fun. Australian eucalypts have mechanical properties rarely found in other timbers, these qualities provide a solid foundation on which to make good skis. We combine Alpine Ash, one of the tallest trees in the world, and Jarrah, a hardwood native to southwestern Australia, with Australian grown Paulownia to create skis that ride unlike any other.

We build skis for the kind of days we live for. Riding deep powder in Japan, tree skiing in North America, navigating glaciers in New Zealand, or getting out our backdoor for lines right here in the Main Range.
Some days are all smiles and others require a very specific lens to spot the fun. We think our skis make every day just a little bit better. Hand built, by us, in Jindabyne, NSW from locally sourced materials. We hope to put a smile on your face, no matter the day. Desert Skis delivers a uniquely Australian touch to skiers worldwide.
