Warranty & Returns

If you are having a bad day or experiencing problems with your skis, please reach out and contact us first. Our biggest goal is to keep people happy on our skis, and we will work with you to make sure that happens. Being skiers ourselves we know how devastating equipment failure can be, especially mid-season. Whilst we strive for perfection at every step in manufacturing, we know mistakes happen. We'll do what we can to get you back on snow ASAP. That being said, we still need a Warranty & Returns policy, so that’s what’s laid out below.

 


 

At Desert Skis Pty Ltd, we are proud to offer skis made from high-quality materials and craftsmanship. Our skis come with a warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the original date of purchase. If we determine that a product has a defect, we will either repair or replace the defective item, at our discretion. Please note the following terms and conditions for this warranty

1. Who is Covered

This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser of the skis, provided the skis were purchased directly from Desert Skis Pty Ltd or an authorised Desert Skis dealer. Proof of purchase is necessary to confirm the original purchase.

2. Return Authorisation

Any return or warranty claim must be authorised in advance by Desert Skis. To request authorisation, please email admin@desertskis.com. Once approved skis must be shipped to Desert Skis at your expense, using a trackable shipping method. Desert Skis is not responsible for items damaged during return shipping.

3. Return Shipping Costs

If skis are returned without a valid RA number or are deemed not to be covered by this warranty, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Exclusions: This warranty does not cover:

  1. Damage due to improper use, neglect, or abuse
  2. Damage from impacts with objects such as rocks, rails, trees, stumps, parking lot curbs, or on-mountain equipment
  3. Chips, dents, or scratches on the top sheet or base
  4. Damage resulting from improper mounting, adjustment, or use of bindings
  5. Damage caused by chemicals, adhesives, or solvents
  6. Discolouration or fading of top sheet due to misuse or neglect
  7. Normal wear and tear from regular use
  8. Any damage unrelated to material or manufacturing defects
  9. Consequential or incidental damages, including personal injury
  10. Ex-Demo skis and equipment
  11. Tuning outside the recommended tuning process
  12. Variation in veneer appearance. Skis are made from natural wood which have variations in colour, small natural defects adding to the uniqueness of the product but does not effect the quality

4. Custom & Built-to-Order Skis

Please note that we do not accept returns or issue refunds on custom or built-to-order skis, except in the case of a manufacturing defect. If you believe your custom or built-to-order skis have a defect in materials or craftsmanship, please contact us to initiate a warranty claim.

5. Return Policy for Other Items

For all other items, returns must be made within 30 days of purchase to be eligible for a refund or exchange. Returns are not available for sale or ex-demo items.

6. Modification of Product

Any modifications, alterations, or changes made to the skis will void the warranty.

7. Warranty Coverage for Replacements

If your skis are repaired or replaced, the warranty will only be valid for the remaining duration of the original warranty period.
